Still Need More Convincing?
"I
really want to personally thank you for what the Cigar PEG did for our
members. The financial contributions made all the difference in the world
to so many members who were hurting so badly.
28 people each received $1,000 of immediate assistance in the first week
after the [Katrina] storm when they were living in far flung
places and rapidly spending their savings without any new revenue coming
in. Of those, 16 received an additional $2,000 later that month.
Several more who were hardest hit received contributions of $5,000 to
$10,000, including one member battling brain cancer and two other members
each with husbands fighting cancer. At least 7 of our members lost
everything they owned, ranging from flooding to the rooftop in New Orleans
to the tidal wave on the Mississippi Gulf Coast." -Gerard Braud
