for Elite-Level Members
BureauMatch was started in 2006 at the NSA Convention in Orlando as a member benefit for Connoisseur Level Members. BureauMatch is a bit like speed dating for professional speakers and the speaker bureau agents that book them. BureauMatch is a members-only benefit for Connoisseur & Benefactor-Level Cigar PEG members. There is no additional charge beyond your yearly membership expense. Bureau participants enjoy a complementary Cigar PEG membership. The 2008 BureauMatch will be held in the Cigar PEG suite at the NYC Marriott Marquis on Saturday from noon to about 3:00 PM. BureauMatch conducts "rounds" where the same number of speakers enters the room as are bureau representatives sitting at tables. The speakers get 5 minutes to "pitch" the bureau, then the bell will ring and each speaker rotates to the next table until all speakers have "pitched" all bureaus. Then the next "round" starts. Since we will have two (2) suites this year; one at the Marriott and one at the Paramount directly across the street, we may spread the activity among the two suites, depending on this year's level of participation. 2006 First ever, BureauMatch Begins in the Cigar PEG suite--Denise Ryan facilitating BureauMatch is a unique opportunity for speakers and bureau agents to get to know one another in a relaxed atmosphere, up in the Cigar PEG hospitality suite. It's a bit like speed-dating. BureauMatch "speed dating" slots are only available to Cigar PEG Connoisseur members. This activity is a Connoisseur Member benefit.
